Overview

Our operations start around 8.30 a.m. and go until 4.30 p.m. Between those times, you can come and take your tour. Also, one tour normally takes around 40 minutes to 1 hour to complete.

When taking the plantation tour, you must participate in the tea-picking session. Before the session, we performed the customary worship of Lord Ganesh at a small kovil close to the plantation.

You will also receive your basket to harvest tea, as well as a small mottu. If you decide to take part in the tea plucking activity, you could perhaps wear the customary tea plucker attire of a wraparound saree or sarong.

Relax amidst the breathtaking views of endless greenery, tea estates, and surrounding countryside at our Sky Café from a mountain top of 300m above ground/1300m above sea level.

We pride ourselves on being one of the best tea manufacturers in Sri Lanka and awarded for being one of the largest producers of Ceylon tea. Surrounded by lush green tea fields, the factory offers a number of activities, from trekking through lush green tea gardens, tea picking, and learning the tea manufacturing process to finally savoring your own cuppa to complete the tea journey.

    Wonderful tea picking experience, Sallay was very informative and Maria showed us her expertise in tea picking, would highly recommend this excursion as it was a great insight from start of picking the tea to tea tasting at the end . We asked a tuk tuk to take us and decided which tour to do once we arrived.

    The plantation tour was super fun, you get to learn about the process of plucking the bud and leafs from the plant and you actually get to go out into the field and try it out yourself. Sallay was a great guide, very knowledgeable, and a great photographer. Definitely recommend doing this activity.

    We did the tea plantation tour and it was one of the most amazing and beautiful experiences we have had in Sri Lanka so far. Our tour guide was friendly and told us many interesting facts about tea production. We got to harvest tea leaves in the tea plantation, and it was such a calming and fun experience. The tour ended with tea tasting and we bought our favorite teas to bring with us back home. All in all a great experience!!

    We had a lovely time at the tea factory. We opted for the outside tour where we picked tea with Maria and Sallay talked us though the process. Sallay then lead our tea tasting. The tea was great and both Sallay and Maria made it a wonderful experience. Thank you both!
