Drive through the last remaining tuart forest in the world just north of Busselton to view the spectacular and massive trees, understorey of peppermint trees, wildflowers and large mobs of kangaroos and animals. This is a magnificent ancient forest with 300 - 400 year old trees standing on average 33 meters high, with girths of a massive 10 meters .

Dip your toes in the protected waters of the Geographe Bay at Busselton foreshore and take the 1.81km longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Choose to walk or catch the train ride to the end and explore the distance from here to the other side of the world.

Day 2: Magaret River to Perth

The lure of Surfer’s Point is in the resonant echo of mainbreak’s monstrous swells, and the men and women brave enough to ride them. Surfer’s Point is a symbol of the South West’s wild shore. The myth of the break’s discovery is conserved by plaques that tell the story of the meaning this wave has for modern day Margaret River.

A visit to stunning Hamelin Bay is a must-do on many a holiday schedule. A vast expanse of bright white sand, turquoise waters filled with marine life, and spectacular coastal cliff walks. The sheltered bay is great for swimming, snorkelling and fishing, and divers can explore the nearby shipwreck.
