Explore Saguaro Lake! Whether you’re a beginner or expert you can experience the beautiful lakes of Arizona! You will be given an orientation of basic safety and paddling instruction. Along with some suggestions on fun places to paddle and how far for given time length of rental. After that it's just you and the beautiful scenery of where the desert meets the water!

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

Water, sunscreen and dry bags are recommended. Activity gear will be distributed. Orientation will include basic paddling, water safety and geography of the lake. Orientation is mandatory. Total time on the water will be 2 hours.

I had forgotten how pretty the Salt Lake River is! We had a wonderful kayak trip filed with a lot of laughs, wild horses, and many species of birds. It was a wonderful way to spend 4.5 hrs!!! And we ordered boxed lunches from the ranch which were very good.

What sets SLR apart is the people who run it. The food is excellent. The staff help set up activities if you're floundering. The guides know that neat little detail. And the location is a star - views you will never forget. Flora, fauna and geology that make even short simple hikes memorable. Water activities and games at the ranch.

This was an incredible kayaking experience perfect for friends, families or couples. We were lucky to have great weather and the views on the lake were amazing. There are beautiful cliffs, a canyon you can explore, and views of the Superstition Mountains on a clear day. This trip picked up at the Saguaro Lake Ranch which is also an incredible place to visit. There was easy parking at the Ranch, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The lake is only a quick van ride away and removes the hassle of having to transport/load a kayak on your own car! Would definitely recommend and would do again! 2.5 hours was the perfect amount of time to explore.

Beautiful views, peaceful atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff on the ranch. Had a great time kayaking on the lake. Again, beautiful landscape and lots of wildlife. We saw several herons and a bighorn sheep on a cliff above. Highly recommend this trip. Be sure to call ahead and reserve a spot because they do sell out.

Great views. Instructors were very helpful and knowledgeable. My friends were nervous but once they were out on the water they really enjoyed themselves
