Our Guide Franceska was excellent. Knowledgeable, and funny with good little details about the tour and the cities of Salzburg and Hallstatt. The drive through the mountains was lovely. The information about where and how the scenes were filmed was very interesting and surprising. If you know and love The Sound of Music, I would highly recommend this tour.

There were just 4 of us in the van plus our driver, a delightful man named Elvis. He was very informative and interesting, speaking knowledgeably about the locations and their connection to the movie, snf little known information about Captain Von Trapp and his first wife. He is well up on local history, culture and politics. The drive to Hallstatt was beautiful. Hallstatt was extraordinarily charming, and it is a breathtaking location. Unfortunately its charms have led it to being overrun with tourists, but that is not the tour’s fault, and the only way to avoid that is to miss out on going there. Bring a raincoat and umbrella to Hallstatt, as the weather was very changeable. The van was very acceptable in condition and cleanliness, if not the utmost in luxury. It was a practical size for local conditions, which is something Americans traveling abroad should get used to. We sat in front with the driver, as that offered the best view.

Bruno was a great guide. Picked us up from our lodging and brought us around the many sites from the Sound of Music movie. The view as we travelled to Hallstatt was very beautiful. Our family had a great time!

This was the perfect tour for us at an unbeatable price, the right amount of touring and detail about The Sound of Music sites, the history, updates, etc - coupled with a fabulous visit to Hallstat, with such gorgeous scenery! Bruno, our guide, was engaging and well-informed, a local with deep knowledge of the area. The vehicle was clean and well maintained, and Bruno was super punctual (including the hotel pickup!). He was a skilled and careful driver, great communicator, and was thoughtful in his suggestions for the tour and for our time in Hallstat.
