Captain Dimitris of Hydra Fishing Trips will redefine your fishing expectations as a hobby! He makes each of his fishing trips around the glorious coastline of Hydra fun for everyone, regardless of their expertise or inclination.

So whether you're an avid fisherman or more into swimming and sunbathing while your enthusiast catches lunch, you will have a fantastic time.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

The trip will start with 1-2 hours fishing. Fisherman Dimitris will pick you up at your preferred pick up point and bring you to the best spot to do some fishing. This will depend mostly on the weather and the season so that he can guarantee you the best catch. So for example You will help him get out the long lines or fishing nets he has thrown in a few hours before the trip. Then he will show you other fishing techniques like trolling or hand lines and fishing rods. 

After that he will take you to a remote beach where you can enjoy swimming ‍♂️ and  snorkeling while he will be cooking lunch for you (usually fish soup or fried fish) served with a cool salad and refreshing fruit for dessert. After eating lunch at the beach he will bring you back to your pick up point. Lunch and drinks are included in the price.

    This is not only a fishing trip but a chance to immerse yourself into Greek culture. The long lines were fun to watch and kept my children entertained. The snorkeling and food were icing on the cake. We can’t thank hydra fishing enough for a wonderful time. I

    First, I am sorry that this review is so very delayed. Second, I don't quite have the words to adequately express how absolutely wonderful our excursion with Dimitris was. It was the highlight of our Greek holiday and I have such wonderful memories that will stay with me forever. The trip was so easy to book through Kathrin, who was so lovely to communicate with. The outing gave us a perspective of Idra we wouldn't have otherwise experienced. My second favorite part was learning from Dimitris about the local fish species. My first favorite part was dining on the deliciously prepared fresh catches that Dimitris prepared for us. I still think about that meal! My photos could not possibly relay how special this experience was!

    We had a beautiful day on the water with Captain Dimitri and an incredible meal from the catch, this was a highlight of our trip to Greece and I highly recommend it!!

    We love fishing at home and we made a special trip to Hydra to try fishing in Greece. What a blast! Captain / Chef Dimitris is an expert at giving his guests a great experience. He shared his fishing knowledge and prepared a most delicious on-board meal…more than we could finish. The sights, the instant friendship and fun made this a most memorable time for our trip to Greece.

    On a fishing boat with fisherman and chef Demetri…What a great way to spend the day! The most memorable part of our time on Hydra.
