Start with pickup from Sharm El Sheikh and travel through the Sinai Peninsula to Taba. From here, take a ferry across the Gulf of Aqaba to Jordan. Make your way to the gorge of Ma'an, where the ancient city of Petra can be found.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Wonders of the World, the city was once described as being "forgotten by the world for over 1,000 years". Petra is home to towering buildings carved into the pink stone. On your tour of the canyon, admire the sight of the Treasure Palace, the Roman Theater, and the Temple and Treasures of the Citadel.
