This was a magical experience and not just because we earned the "Aurora Lights Snob" award (the lights danced to their best on our tour). Tracy organised a truly wonderful tour; she was welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic to share her heritage and magical home with us. The warm and cosy cottage was a perfect retreat from the cold, where she cooked up a storm. However, the main highlight was the beautiful outdoors area, where we witnessed the amazing lights. What an "out of this world" experience. There were comfortable chairs to lounge in and immerse ourselves in the sky, lights and stars. She also provided fur coats to keep us extra warm, so we could lie in the snow to watch the light spectacle. We could not recommend this experience with Tracy more highly.

Tracy and her cozy cabin just oozed a genuine warmth! To start, her tour bus was the most comfortable one I had been in Yellowknife. Her chowder and bannock were delicious and she entertained us throughout the night with stories. She took her time and equally spoke with every individual guest all the while cooking and cleaning all at the same time. She was so organized, set everyone’s expectations on how picture taking was going to be once the aurora came out. She also provided ingredients for s’mores that you could make in the fire pit outside. There were a plethora of fur coats that you could try on and wear. She also briefly educated us on the indigenous people and the Yellowknife history. Honestly, even if I didn’t see the Aurora, it would have been a great time. The aurora was just the cherry on top to a wonderful night. I did this tour on the last night of my stay in Yellowknife. I was saving the best for last! Our tour was suppose to end at 2pm but the Aurora came out later in the night so she let us stay to watch for longer and we didn’t get back to the hotel until 3am. I highly recommend that you take Tracy’s tour. On the coldest of nights, a mom and her son from Hawaii could feel the “aloha” in Yellowknife.

Tracy was an incredible host. She made an effort to get to know us and make us comfortable. She cooked an excellent meal for us and took photographs and was easy going and give us local historians advice which we found extremely useful. .The cabin itself is situated in an excellent location to watch the Aurora. It was comfortable ,warm and Cozy as indicated in the tour title. We as a family enjoyed it and had wonderful viewing. We highly recommend the tour for a unique personal experience.

We did three aurora tours during our stay in Yellowknife, and hand on heart this one was by far the best. While the other two tours had been a drive around-aurora chase, this was located at a cabin. The advantages of the cabin were it was a lot more warm and comfortable, easier to chat with the rest of the group, had a washroom, and you had the choice of chilling out in the cabin or sitting outside in the snow under the heavens. As a photographer this allowed me to set up gear and evaluate shooting spots should the aurora happen. Tracy and Derrick were lovely and knowledgeable hosts, somehow managing to work the room, keep an eye on the skies, entertain us with stories, all whilst cooking bannock and chowder! My wife and I stood outside the cabin after supper discussing that regardless of the aurora turning up or not, that this had been the best tour on our visit to Yellowknife.
