The Louvre Abu Dhabi is the result of the collaboration between the city and the French government.
Located on the Saadiyat Island Cultural District, this art and civilization museum features its own collections and those that have been loaned by the Agence France-Museums and the Musee de Louvre.
While it does bear the name Louvre, it is in no way a copy of the museum in France. It offers its own interpretation of universal history that reflects the era and the traditions of the UAE.
In its collection are works from just about every medium, including sculpture, paintings, and even photography.
