Palawan Islands to Visit This Year

Palawan Islands to Visit This Year

The thing about traveling to Palawan Islands: you don’t need a specific time frame to visit the island.

The place is comparatively good all year round. This island province in the Philippines is composed of other smaller islands that make up the overall splendor of this unique wonderland.

Thanks to its exceptional wildlife and aquatic features, Palawan is dubbed as one of the country’s prime travel destinations.

With the abundance of attractions, visiting and enjoying Palawan activities in each one might be impossible to achieve, especially with limited time on your hand.

Nonetheless, you can still have the time of your life by going over a few of these gorgeous places during your travel.

And, since we’re feeling pretty generous, here’s a list of vacation spots around mainland Palawan you’d want to visit this year.

1. Coron, Palawan Islands

A small unspoiled town on the island of Busuanga, Coron serves as a gateway, allowing access to nearby islands in the area. Coron has been attracting travelers for years and never did it disappoint.

With its raw and pristine beauty, Coron will always be one of those sought-after islands escapes in Palawan that people will never get tired of.

White sand beaches, mystical lakes, and breathtaking mountain tops, Coron will always have something waiting to be explored.

2. Underground River, Puerto Princesa

Of all the enjoyable Palawan activities and attractions the place can offer, this is one you should definitely not miss. I mean, you can’t travel to Palawan and simply leave out visiting the world-renowned Underground River.

The Puerto Princesa’s Subterranean River National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

The 8.2-kilometer underground river is said to be the longest navigable underground river in the world. Being a national park, it is home to over a thousand animal and plant species you can see and, sometimes, interact with.

3. Calauit Safari Palawan

Calauit Game Preserve & Wildlife National Park is a taste of Africa on the island of Palawan. Off the coast in the northwestern tip of Busuanga is Calauit Island.

This is the home of Palawan’s very own safari park where various African animals, including giraffes and zebras, can be found.

Moreover, the safari park is also home to animals and plants endemic to Palawan such as the Calamian deer and several freshwater crocodiles.

4. El Nido, Palawan Islands

Another popular getaway in Palawan is El Nido. Being one of the most celebrated islands in Palawan, El Nido is a great escape for anyone seeking that needed fun and excitement.

We’re talking about long stretches of fine-powdery sand, glistening turquoise waters and towering limestone karsts standing as barriers for a more isolated getaway.

Furthermore, the mantel of rainforests and unblemished islands in El Nido makes this place one of the best-untainted destinations in Palawan.

5. Amanpulo, Pamalican

Nothing spells private island escape like Amanpulo. A serene luxury at its best, Amanpulo is the haven for private getaways.

Located in the northeastern part of Palawan, the island is a secluded paradise that offers the most dramatic view and incomparable island experience.

Enjoy Palawan like it’s your very own in a private island retreat in the Amanpulo, Pamalican Island.

Going over all the islands in Palawan is a bit of a challenge especially if your time is restricted. These five Palawan islands are just a few of the many other island destinations in Palawan that are worthy to be explored.

And if your holiday warrants you more time, why limit yourself to only these five when you can have more?
