Cologne Cathedral Germany is a Roman Catholic church. Cologne Cathedral even today dominates the skyline of Cologne city. Not only of Cologne it is considered one of the most famous landmarks of Germany.

कोलोन कैथड्रल को 1996 में UNESCO World Heritage की सूची में शामिल किया गया था

Cologne Cathedral was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List of culturally important sites in 1996.



कोलोन कैथड्रल को बनाने का काम 1248 में शुरू हुआ था और इसको बनने में लगभग 600 साल लगे.

Construction of Cologne Cathedral Germany commenced in 1248 and took almost 600 years to complete.



 



 



कोलोन कैथेड्रल का काम 14 अगस्त 1880 में खत्म हुआ था. सन 1884 तक ये पूरी दुनिया की सबसे ऊंची ईमारत थी. आज भी आप इसे शहर के किसी भी कोने से साफ़ देख सकते हैं.

Upon its completion on 14th of August 1880 , Cologne Cathedral held the title of the world's tallest building until 1884. Even today this church can be viewed from any place of Cologne city as it stands proudly reflecting the great history of the city Cologne.



 

दुसरे विश्व युद्ध के दौरान कोलोन शहर पूरी तरह से तबाह हुआ था. कोलोन कैथेड्रल पे भी हवाई हमलों के दौरान करीब 14 बम गिराये गए थे. इसमें इस विशालकाय ईमारत को बहुत नुक्सान हुआ लेकिन इसे फिर से 1956 तक ठीक कर लिया गया था.

During the world war II the Cologne Cathedral Germany suffered tremendous damage during air-raids. Approximately 14 bombs were dropped during the air strikes, it did not collapsed unlike the rest of the city which was flattened during war. Complete restoration was done by 1956.
