Destination Guide

Jeddah - Holiday Tour Packages

Jeddah is located west of Saudi Arabia and along the Red Sea, which pretty much tells you what exciting sightseeing & activities await upon your arrival in the port city on a business, leisure visit, or Umrah.

The whole of Saudi Arabia may be perceived as somber, but it doesn't lack beautiful places to visit and fun things to do that visitors and tourists can experience in other countries. The only difference is that Saudi Arabia serves up a different flavor. And Jeddah is one destination that you can start with.

Places to Visit in Jeddah

  • Al-Balad - Al-Balad, which literally translates to Old Town, is a top tourist attraction in Jeddah. Here, you will find ancient buildings, traditional souqs, and multi-story coral houses, or what is left of them. So before all the coral disappears from the Old Town, travel to Jeddah.
  • Jeddah Corniche - If you want to get the best view of the Red Sea, this is where you should be heading. You will also find other interesting sites in the area, such as the main shopping street on Tahliya, the gold souqs, and the King Fahd Fountain, which is the tallest in the port city and the world.

Things to Do in Jeddah

  • Scuba Diving - Located close to the Red Sea, scuba diving is a major draw in Saudi Arabia and Jeddah. Beyond the long stretch of desert sand is a treasure trove of underwater wonders that are virtually untouched, and which you can explore. Visibility is at 30 to 40m. Make sure to check out the Chicken Wreck, named as such because it is a boat wreck that was carrying tons of frozen chicken when it hit the reef and went down.
  • Visiting parks - As one of the larger cities in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah is home to several parks with each one having a character their own.
    • Sail Island is a water park built on an artificial peninsula. It provides the perfect escape from the blazing sun of the Saudi Arabian sun.
    • Atallah Happy Land Park is an amusement park with many outdoor and indoor attractions. It is perfect for a family vacation. Children can enjoy the outdoor and indoor rides, while mom and dad can go shopping.
    • Al-Shalal Theme Park is said to have the largest double-looped roller coaster in the Asian continent. Time to see if that claim is true.

Top Attractions in Jeddah

  • King Abdullah Sports City - Nicknamed the Shining Jewel, King Abdullah Sports City is a sports city and multi-use stadium that can accommodate over 60,000 spectators. It is Jeddah's biggest Stadium and Saudi Arabia's second-biggest. Its indoor arenas have hosted several athletics events.
  • King Fahd's Fountain - This water fountain is the tallest in Jeddah, and in the world. It jets water to a maximum height of approximately 850 feet. It is practically visible from all areas of the city. At night, it transforms into an amazing spray of water highlighted by 500 spotlights.

Holiday & Umrah Tour Packages
