Kavita Bhandari Goel A Memorable Holiday In Mauritius !

Kavita Bhandari Goel

It was a pleasure discussing our plans of Mauritius Holiday Package with La Vacanza travel, we are really happy the way team helped us in our bookings keeping in the mind the budget we had and things we wanted to do in our honeymoon trip to Mauritius. We had a memorable holiday in Mauritius.

HOTEL
The choices of the hotels in Mauritius are unlimited, we explored many different hotels based on facilities offered, location, special offers for honeymooners and our budget. finally we choose Sofitel, it is a beautiful hotel indeed located in Flic En Flac area of Mauritius, with beautiful beach, nice cottages with balcony, a Japanese garden, great food and water sports facilities (many of them are free for guests).

TIP : Please make a booking for water-sports on the first day only, many of them are free and every one wants to do it, even the paid one are on high demand. We booked Dolphins Safari but on the first day but we couldn't see dolphins, thankfully we had another day and we were offered Dolphin safari for free. It was a wonderful experience to see dolphins in their natural habitat.

SIGHTSEEING
All three sightseeing included in our Mauritius Holiday package were nice and we could see almost all of Mauritius during these three sightseeing tours. Our visit to Ill aux cerfs was most memorable. This small island has the most amazing beach we have ever seen.

TIP : You must take all three sightseeing tour in Mauritius, North Island Tour South Island Tour and Ill Aux Cerfs.During the Ill Aux Cerfs tour you also get opportunity for water sports like undersea walk, para sailing and speed boat etc.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS
We choose shared transfers and sightseeing, though La Vacanza also offered us to have all sightseeing and transfers on private basis. In a way shared sightseeing and transfers are good, you get company during long travel during sightseeings and it works out cheaper also (Most of the couples sharing tours with us were on honeymoon trip to Mauritius).

FLIGHT
We took Air Mauritius is a good airlines with direct flight, Emirates also flies to Mauritius via Dubai, unless you wish to take a stopover in Dubai it is not advisable for it is more expensive too.

Overall it was a wonderful trip to Mauritius and we came back with lot of memories to cherish for whole of our life. Thank you once again.
Shubhabrata Bhattacharya Thanks to La Vacanza Travel in India for putting me in your able hands.

Mauritius - Holiday Packages and Tours

Something fascinating and exciting awaits you in Mauritius! No doubt about it. A volcanic island nation known for its beautiful beaches, extensive lagoons, impressive reefs, and mountainous interior, it offers an interesting mix of everything in one slice of paradise.

This tropical Holiday travel destination offers a contrast of culture and colours that seamlessly create one charming scene of fabulous sightseeing & activities. But the real highlight is the dodo bird that has been extinct for more than three centuries, but which remains is found in the Natural History Museum in Mauritius.

With your Mauritius holiday package tour, you will be able to see how the country is considered as the epitome of tropical beauty, with its clean waters lapping at idyllic sands that are usually bordered by lush green vegetation. As you can see, this island country is blessed with tropical forest, white-sand beaches and glistening waters that are filled with rich and colorful coral reefs and marine life.

Some of the most iconic beaches that you should not miss here include the Grand Baie, La Cuvette, Perebere, and Belle Mare Plage, all of which are known for having enormous shores and world-class tourist facilities and amenities.

With a tropical climate for the most part of the year, planning your vacation to Mauritius don't need to be limited by the season. What is even better is that you will have a range of holiday packages to choose from.

Places to visit in Mauritius

Where should you go during your holiday in Mauritius? The question should be where you should go first given that the island has some fantastic sightseeing destinations.

One of the most popular is the capital, Port Louis. Located on the North West coast, it is as metropolitan and cosmopolitan as it can get, but with the view of the beach and the mountains, you can see without trying too hard. If you're on top of a building, that is.

On the north is where some of the best beaches can be found, complete with world-class accommodation, restaurants, water sports facilities, and shopping and entertainment hub. Suffice to say that it is a holidaymaker's paradise within a tropical paradise.

Other sightseeing destinations to visit include the south and south east, the east, inland and center, and the west and southwest.

Things to do in Mauritius

The best way to experience Mauritius is to indulge in a wide range of sightseeing & activities. The good news is there is no shortage of things to do and enjoy when in this "island of beauty and charm". There is something for everyone, whether you're on your honeymoon trip, with the entire family and kids, or just with the love of your life.

Making the most of your time on the beach swimming, diving or just soaking up the sun often always make it to the list of things to do when in this island. You can then raise the excitement level by indulging in a wide range of water sports, and going sailing and sea excursions.

If you want to take a break from the sand and sea, you can try some of the land-based sports on offer, from golf to abseiling, and everything else in between. Now for a relaxing culmination of your day, pamper yourself to a world-class spa and wellness treatment. With plenty of things to do, there will never be dull moment when in Mauritius.
