So before I get into the nitty gritty of the review I want to preface it with a couple things. Our Tour guide Esther did their absolute best to make this day as enjoyable as possible. They were very knowledgeable, humorous and drove very well. They did the best with what they had but I feel management and mother nature has some of this set up to be incredibly underwhelming compared to what it's advertised as. (I assume this will be temporary until the area has recovered from Cyclone Jasper) Firstly and I must stress this * IF YOU GET CAR/MOTION SICK OR ANXIOUS* Pack plenty of anti nausea medication. There is quite literally 5 - 7 hours of driving winding roads with steep cliffs at points and despite the best efforts of the drivers, the buses do lean quite a bit and are bumpy. Also the seats are tiny (If you're plus sized or tall it's pretty uncomfortable) and there's no toilets or motion sickness bags on board. Also, we pre-booked this trip prior to Cyclone Jasper and we're not informed about or compensated for the closures of certain parts of the tour. Adjust your expectations accordingly as they don't tell you until you're on the bus and by that point you're SoL. I've basically copied/pasted their "itinerary" and adjusted it for the realistic experience without spoilers. Duration: 12 ish hours Stop At: Mossman Gorge, Daintree National Park, Queensland 4873 Australia Welcome ceremony was interesting and insightful however the local indigenous guide must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed as they yelled at our tour guide and seemed annoyed at our presence there. Also a "swim" is a bit of a stretch, ever since the cyclone and high River levels/a dangerous undercurrent you basically get to sit in the water on the river's edge IF it's seemed safe to enter the water at all. Duration: 2 hours (Feels like less/ Time in the actual "rain Forrest is maybe 45 minutes) Stop At: Daintree River Cruise Centre, 2914 Mossman - Daintree Rd PMB 4, Daintree QLD 4873, Australia Next stop is a Daintree River Wildlife and Crocodile Cruise on the Daintree River - You drive up the river in a boat with a guide and if the stars align you might see a Croc sunbathing but it's not guaranteed to see anything. We got lucky and saw 4 however the water is incredibly murky and if they aren't on the banks, you're SoL Duration: 45 minutes Pass By: Daintree Region, Daintree Region, Queensland So this is where the tour changes. We actually had lunch before the river cruise and you drive through some crazy roads to stop for ice cream for 10 minutes and then a beach (that you can't go near the water because of Crocodile danger) for 10 minutes. Stop At: Cape Tribulation, Cape Tribulation, Daintree Region, Queensland This is not included as Cyclone Jasper has the roads closed. They don't tell you that until you're on the bus. Duration: 30 minutes Stop At: Marrdja Botanical Walk Again, not included as the roads are closed. Don't tell you until you're on the bus. Duration: 40 minutes Stop At: Daintree Ice Cream Company, 1819 Cape Tribulation Rd, Diwan QLD 4873, Australia As I mentioned before, you do stop for ice cream and it's tasty but you have to pay extra for it. Duration: 15 minutes Stop At: Mount Alexandra Lookout, Cape Tribulation Rd, Cape Tribulation, Queensland QLD 4873 Australia Again.... This isn't included in your tour as the roads are all messed up. All in all it's a cool experience with great your guides but right now it's not at all what's advertised. It's a lot of driving on windy roads in uncomfortable seats and you don't get to see half the things listed due to road closures. In lieu of the places that were closed it would have been lovely to either be compensated for a part of the cost or have more time to spend in Mosman Grove as that's the only time you actually spend in the rainforest and the boardwalk/'swim' is only 45 minutes from the entire 2 hours. Adjust your expectations accordingly and please remember if you get motion or car sickness, pack your meds because it's a full day of driving very, very winding roads.

This was a fantastic tour - even with some of the sights unavail due to Cyclone damage we still saw and experienced a lot, and I came away from it feeling not just like I enjoyed seeing pretty scenery but that I understood the Daintree Rainforest more deeply. Our guide Brandon was also a fantastic storyteller all day - I loved hearing all about Captain Cook, whom I'd never really thought about before but now find a fascinating historical figure. Brandon was able to seamlessly blend the story of Australia's founding through Captain Cook with the natural surroundings and features we explored, to bring everything to light in a truly fascinating way. Loved it!

Thoroughly enjoyed the day. We were picked up from the hotel promptly and the whole day ran smoothly and efficiently. We had a fantastic river cruise and our tour guide, Brendan, kept us all entertained throughout the journey. I would recommend this company and this trip.

Our guide Brendan kept us all engaged with his excellent story telling all throughout the trip. This is still a modified itinerary because of no access to Cape Tribulation and that area may not be be accessible for few more months. We visited Thorntons Beach visited which was equally beautiful. It was raining all day during our trip which actually kept us all cool and made us enjoy the trip even more than the sunny day per diacussion with others. River cruise guide was also engaging and friendly and ensured we saw some crocodiles and snakes which we heard is not always possible. We also stopped for a bit at Port Douglas and Palm Cove. Overall, great trip to the oldest rainforest.

Awesome and funny tour guide and great trip. The tour guide(I think his name was Carlos) was very funny and had a wide breadth of knowledge. His stories entertained the whole bus the whole way. I would definitely recommend visiting during the dry season (September to November) instead of the wet season (I went during the wet season). During the dry season the river floods less, and you can see more crocodiles on the river cruise, but we still saw four on our trip and it was a satisfying experience. Still, it was an excellent tour. A landslide blocked the road to Cape Tribulation, and the rain flooded the parking lot across the river (another reason to visit during the drier months), so we didn't get to see those, but as an alternative we got to see a whole field of wild wallabies and the Barron Falls, which was also great. I would recommend the salad for lunch if you want something healthier than burgers.
