Abu Dhabi City Tour From Dubai

Perhaps it was the intense heat, our lack of preparation and information, or that our tour guide was having an off day. Whatever the reason, this tour was horrible. I had been looking forward to visiting the Grand Mosque and considered it a highlight of my visit to Abu Dhabi. Our tour guide was rude, impatient, unengaged, and offensive. He did not provide any direction or guidance. He would literally drive us to a place, tell us what it was, and say he would be back in 20 minutes. He would come into certain spaces and rush folks back onto the van. In a word, terrible! It’s unfortunate that this is the way I will remember my trip to Abu Dhabi.

Our Driver was very nice, HOWEVER, I would not recommend this tour to anyone. There were 7 of us packed in an SUV/ 4x4 which was not the most comfortable for an hour to and from Abu Dhabi. I should have just booked a half day tour, saw the mosque ( which was our primary goal), and ent back to Dubai to have the rest of the day available to do and see other things. We went to a “museum” and rug shop after the mosque ( no one wanted to buy anything). We also went to heritage village which we could have spent just 15 minutes to see. I was looking forward to going into the palace ( which was supposed to be apart of this tour), but it was closed ! How does the tour operator NOT know that, before collecting our money and taking us on the trip. He tried to take us to the louver museum to spend additional money to buy tickets to enter, which none of us wanted to do. At this point we were tired, disappointed, and just wanted to go home. We asked if we could just get back early, but I think the people at the company advised our driver to keep us out there the whole time. We then went out to Ferrari World where we spent way too much time with nothing to do. We would have just been happy to get back to Dubai early, and maybe even spend some time on the beach or at the pool. We finally left Abu Dhabi ~5:30 in the heart of rush hour and did not get back to my hotel in Dubai until ~7:30!! We could have avoided the traffic if we just would have left When we asked. I had a dinner reservation in Dubai for the evening that I had to cancel because this Abu Dhabi tour was just a way to much. We are only here for a week, so having most of a perfectly good day wasted is not the best use of my vacation time.

Extremely fun trip. Our guide was so knowledgeable and he answered every question we had. I love to learn and the tour kind was exceptional! He taugh us Mosque etiquette and even had Clothes that my wife could wear

It was terrible for me. They transportation was a small suv and I got stuck in the back middle seat. All the passengers paid the same money and it is not fair that a short fat guy took the front sit and I have to get stuck in the middle back seat. By the time the small car came to my hotel to pick me up they already had people inside and there were no sits available but the small sit. I would NOT RECOMMEND to take this tour because you do not get a big enough car and they do not care about all their guests being comfortable.
