We loved Sienna. The driver and guide Iacopo (Jacob) were wonderful. We had a lot of rain I. The beginning of the trip and the guide was great at navigating us to each destination as the bus was far from the towns.

This was a great trip to see, but it was a very long day we left at 7am and did not return until 8pm, many sights to see and the food and wine pairing was amazing. The only thing i might suggest for the tour is to maybe go to Pisa and the tower first, by the time we got there it was closing time at the tower. But the views in Siena and San Gimignano and obviously Pisa were amazing, so much to see.

Overall the tour delivered on what it set out for. However it is a very very long day with a lot of walking and many hills. Our tour group was very large and the tour guide spoke in English and Spanish for the mixed group. She was very knowledgeable and switched easily between the languages. However that meant there was a lot of talking for parts of the bus eide. After a longish bus ride we arrived in Sienna for our first stop and there we felt rushed. There were very few toilet options with such a large group. We were not able to relieve ourselves until after we went to the cathedral. Every toilet location has either a fee (0.50EUR) to use the facility or was in a business and you needed to buy something to use it. The tour in the cathedral was very good and we got a lot of information from the guide but because it was crowded we had to move among a lot of people. The next stop was for lunch and wine. Again the group was too big however they did a great job serving so many lunches and telling us about the wine. Here too we felt rushed once lunch was over. We then went to San Gimignano which was beautiful. There was a steep walk to get in and we had some free time to walk around and take some panoramic photos. The last stop was Pisa. Again a bit of a walk then free time to take our pictures. Then the long bus ride back to Florence. At the end we asked our guide how to find the taxi stand and her directions were so unclear we went in circles for about 30 mins. At the end of a very long and tiring day this was extremely frustrating. It really needed to be more clear where to get a taxi. Overall the tour was nice however in the future we would opt for a shorter day with one less stop with a smaller group.

Great day trip from Florence. Was raining heavily in Siena but it still was a neat little city to visit. The lunch stop at the winery was actually very good. Not much of a wine drinker but they have a couple that we actually likes. Food was good. San Gimignano was beautiful but quite a walk. And to end the day a quick visit to Pisa. Didn’t have enough time to tour the tower or cathedral but it was still a site to see. Our tour guide was great. She was so knowledgeable and get the tour moving with information and never left you out there to try to figure things out on your own. Good job! And compliments to our bus driver Mario. Not sure how he navigated that huge bus thru all The sharp curves and tight squeezes. He was a pro for sure! Overall, a great tour. Would recommend.
