Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: The Alhambra, Calle Real de la Alhambra, s/n Palacio de Carlos V, 18009 Granada Spain

The best-conserved palace from the Al-Andalus Islamic sovereigns in Spain. Really one of the most amazing monuments you can visit.

Duration: 3 hours

Pass By: Alcazaba, Calle Real de la Alhambra Conjunto Monumental de la Alhambra y el Generalife, 18009 Granada Spain

The most ancient part of the Alhambra, the military part. We'll be able to see the whole city from its towers.

Pass By: Palace of Carlos V, Alhambra, 18009 Granada Spain

The Palace of Charles V is the only Renaissance building inside the Alhambra, located on the top of the Sabica hill. The building has never been a home to a monarch and stood roofless until 1957.

Pass By: Palacio El Partal, Calle Real de la Alhambra 2, 18009 Alhambra Spain

A small pergola leads to a wide esplanade corresponding to the lower terrace of the Partal. To the left is the architectural structure for which the location is named: the Partal Palace portico.

Pass By: Generalife Realejo-San Matias, 18009 Granada Spain

Summer Palace of the Alhambra and the beautiful gardens. The palace was used by the Muslim royalty as a place of rest. It was designed as a rural villa in the vicinity of the Alhambra, with decorative garden, fruit and vegetable patches, courts and other structures.

We would have preferred to hear more comments about the rich history of Granada rather than the history of prostate issues, personal bathroom habits, and prejudiced comments disguised as “jokes” towards one’s own home country from the local guide Diego from Play Granada. These small-minded and stereotypical comments have no business in the tourism industry and we would recommend to look elsewhere to better appreciate the beauty of the Alhambra. Lastly, our original booking with Play Granada was in Spanish but they changed our tour to English at the last minute. Based on discussions with locals, this seems to be a common issue and Play Granada has a history of overbooking and/or doing last minute changes/cancellations. Tourists beware.

Our tour guide, Marie de Carman, was very personable with an extensive knowledge of all things concerning the city of Granada and the Alhambra. We enjoyed her tour immensely! The Play Granada tour office was easy to locate in downtown Granada and our guide was on time and at the designated spot. The one important thing that we want other travelers to know, is this tour does not include going inside the Palacio Nazaries. We now realize that a visit to the Palacio must be stated specifically in any tour advertisement. So please double check if the tour you have chosen includes this important palace. This is the most important part of the Alhambra for history buffs and architecture fans. With that aside, we still enjoyed what was included in this tour.

We were amazed at the details and the length of the tour. Marie Carmen had great facts and stories for us at every location. I enjoyed walking up through the forest of the Alahambra. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, fluent in English and able to manage a diverse group effectively. We got to see and learn so much more than we could have done without her expertise.

Roberto, our guide was very knowledgeable and has a passion for the Alhambra, he was a very good guide and made this tour interesting. For anyone who does not know (I did not) this tour does not go to the beautiful palaces or gardens you see in the brochures, TV, magazines, etc.. This is a tour of the Alhambra complex / structure. Nowhere near the beautiful scenes and gardens you may expect. However, if that is what you're looking for, this was a good tour.

Alhambra is a must see. 2 stars are taken out because the guide lady was impatient, and not friendly- borderline rude.
