Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Kaibab National Forest, Route 89A and State Route 67, Jacob Lake, AZ 86046

You will depart Tusayan, Arizona located in the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on the safest and most comfortable-tourism based helicopter in the world. On your 45-minute helicopter flight, enjoy the luxurious comfort and wraparound windows which offer breathtaking views of the Canyon.

Enjoy the fantastic views of the Canyon as you fly over the 1.6 million-acre (6,500 km²) Kaibab National Forest, which borders both the north and south rims of the Grand Canyon. The Kaibab National Forest is home to the world’s largest ponderosa pines.

Pass By: Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA

Upon reaching the edge of the canyon, the South Rim gently drops away as the North Rim and east end of the canyon come into view – this is definitely one of the greatest views of the Grand Canyon.

Pass By: Painted Desert, 1 Park Rd, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ 86028-2217

You will continue your journey as you follow the Colorado River upstream viewing at a distance the 146-square mile Painted Desert and the 70-foot (21-meter) Desert View Watchtower, a National Historic Landmark.

Pass By: Grand Canyon Desert View Watchtower, Desert View Dr. Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon National Park, AZ 86023

The Desert View Watchtower features an observation deck from which visitors to the national park can view eastern portions of the Grand Canyon.

Pass By: 86036, Marble Canyon, AZ

Next, view Marble Canyon, the section of the Colorado River which marks the beginning of the Grand Canyon, and Point Imperial, the highest point on the North Rim at 8,803 feet (2,683 meters). Point Imperial overlooks the Painted Desert and the eastern end of Grand Canyon. You will fly through the Canyon above the North Rim heading south through the Dragon Corridor, the widest and deepest section of the Canyon.

Pass By: Colorado River, Grand Canyon National Park, AZ

At the end of your helicopter flight, you will cross over the Colorado River and fly over the South Rim and the Kaibab National Forest to land.

Absolutely fantastic tour! The helicopter pilot was very informative and really knew a lot about the different parts of the canyon! Also I'd love to thank La Vacanza Travel & the Tour Operator for allowing us to change the flight time to a later time at short notice! Our plan was to pick up a car rental from Las Vegas & drive straight to the Maverick Helicopters, but when we got to the car rental the line was an hour long which would have made us late for the original time we had booked! We contacted La Vacanza Travel who contacted the tour operator who got back to us in speedy time and offered a later flight. Saved our day and we were so glad we didn't miss out! We can't thank you enough!

There’s a nice spacious area to wait and parking outside. You can’t take any baggage so leave it in your car. There’s a shop and vending machine but no coffee. The pilot was Dave, a lovely young man and experienced pilot who truly loves the GC. He gave us great information and was very friendly. You need to be weighed on arrival ( it’s discrete) and you are sat in the helicopter where they want to balance it. There are 8 seats inside with 3 in front next to the pilot and 4 behind. It isn’t bumpy and lurching - although there are a few twists and tips. It’s just exciting. It’s not like rollercoaster stunt flying, it’s very smooth really, and I was pleased I didn’t feel at all travel sick.i know it’s a costly trip, but it’s really worth it. The very best way to see some of the Grand Canyon.

This is the best way to see the Grand Canyon. The moment you fly from the forest rim down into the canyon was dramatic. The pilot was very informative and safe.
