Tour starts with a visit to the Pierre Loti. See the teahouse perched on a ridge overlooking the Golden Horn which was patronized by the French author for which it is named today. The terrace of this coffeehouse affords a breathtaking view of the Golden Horn and its environs. Take short drive to the pier where you'll board your boat for a cruise along the shores of Bosphorus, the waterway separating the two continents of Europe and Asia. You will have the chance to see the European style palaces of the Ottoman Empire and the palaces of Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi, in striking contrast to some of the modern mansions that line up the shores of Istanbul.

Built in 1664, as part of the mosque complex, the Spice Market (in Turkish - Mısır Çarşısı) is one of the largest in the world. It is colorful, fragrant and lots of fun. Some of the vendors stand in front of their stalls offering free samples of Turkish Delight, Baklava, and other delectables. I have never seen so many different colors of olives. Spices strange to us include sumac, dried red pepper flakes, pomegranate sauce, black cumin, and Turkish saffron (dried safflower).

I went on this tour with Tuly who was a nice tour guide. It was a great time to go onto the Bosphorus Boat Cruise during the afternoon and have some nice Turkish tea and snacks, although we didn't have lunch due to lack of time. We saw lots of amazing Mosques, shops, restaurants and places, as well as bought a bunch of Ottoman spices from the spice market. We didn't get to goto the Ayup Sultan due to the bad traffic in Istanbul so it was incomplete.

Tour not described by La Vacanza Travel ...no Egyptian Bazaar no spice Market as stated under inclusions Booking ref no .is BR-689148614 .Cable car trip was NOT mentioned under inclusions ..Cruise was pleasant but the featured picture of Pierre Loti !!! On river was not seen..The tour guides English and knowledge was good however she stated the Bazaars were on morning tours NOT afternoon ,so we were somewhat disappointed . Lesley Hartmann N

Cette croisière permet de naviguer le long de la corne d'or , et admirer le paysage, le bateau fait plusieurs arrêts , on peut alors regarder le flux des voyageurs, les differentes stations. jusqu'a Ayup Sultan un mausolée riche d'histoire , puis remonter à pied la colline en traversant le cimetière et arriver à Pierre Loti pour une pause Café Turc avec la vue imprenable sur Istanbul . Redescendre en téléférique 10 mn environ, puis reprendre Bus, Navette marine, ou Tramway pour centre ville .
