The Kusadasi Kervansaray, also known as Öküz Mehmed Pasha Caravanserai, is a beautifully preserved example of Ottoman architecture in the heart of Kusadasi, a popular coastal town in Turkey's Aydin province. Constructed in the early 17th century by the Ottoman governor (or vizier) Öküz Mehmed Pasha, it served as a secure resting place for merchants and travelers along the caravan routes, hence the name "caravanserai".
