To start with, my rating of 3 stars is not a reflection of the staff that looked after us throughout the daylong tour! The staff were very friendly, organized, and timed our arrival at each sightseeing spot so that we were there for a while before all the other boats arrived which was amazing! I felt looked after and well guided all day. Staff deserve 5 stars. My rating of 3 does reflect the boat though (I’d rate the boat a 1) including lack of comfort, cost for value, and a change in tour company/boat. The boat we were on was tiny, and was the smallest boat I saw throughout the day. Luckily everyone was good humored about it but we were all crowded together, bumping into each other, and overall uncomfortable. I also noticed that the boat said Blue Alexandria as did the staff’s t-shirts, which is not the tour company I thought I’d booked (Bintang Komodo Tours). And given the price of USD $140 I was expecting a bigger boat.

Excellent experience and a very organised and professional day. We were lucky to see several Komodo, manta rays, turtles and many other fish and animals through the day trip thanks to the tour and park guides, even a reef shark! It’s a day we certainly won’t forget and would strongly recommend it! Just watch that your flippers don’t harm the coral!

Incredible day. Saw Komodo Dragons, Manta Rays, swam with turtles, and even saw a shark. Definitely worth the price. Take a GoPro or underwater camera.

What a fantastic day! We were deliberating about whether to do this one day trip or a longer overnight trip, and were so glad we chose this one. It’s an early start at 5:30am but you’re quickly on the boat and zipping over to Padar Island for the early morning light. All the items on the itinerary were magical and the quality of the snorkelling was incredible. We were very lucky - seeing 7 Komodo dragons, sea turtles, beautiful fish and 16 manta rays! At every point our crew were assessing the itinerary and revising it to make sure we beat the crowds and had the natural environment to ourselves. They were also very helpful - taking photos for us and providing information about what we were seeing. None of the activities felt rushed, and with each other the things we saw were more and more special. Swimming with the manta rays really was a once in a lifetime experience - what gentle giants! A couple of tips - take suncream and reapply it to your back, shoulders and calves religiously - better still invest in a rash vest. The sun is strong and we all got rather sunburnt. Also invest in a waterproof pouch for your phone so you can take underwater photos - trust me, there will be a lot to see! All in all couldn’t recommend this enough - just go ahead and book it!
