Visit: The Household Cavalry Museum, Horse Guards Whitehall, London SW1A 2AX England
Mounted bodyguard to HM The Queen, the Household Cavalry protect the monarch at home and abroad. Housed in the Horse Guards Building, official entrance to the Royal Residences, the Household Cavalry Museum allows visitors to peek into the working stables of the Cavalry at Horse Guards and learn all about their work in over 350 years of protecting the Royal Family, horse care, and global military efforts and peacekeeping.
Make time to enjoy the daily public duties such as the 11am Mounted Guard Change (10am Sundays), hourly sentry-box changes, and the 4pm Garrison Inspection; then head back inside the Museum to try on the uniforms and see if you could do these duties and care for the Regiment's horse in their special kit.
