Pass By: St. James's Park, Horse Guards Road The Storeyard, London SW1A 2BJ England

Your guide will meet you outside St James’s Park Tube Station in the morning and introduce you to two of Greater London's most famous boroughs, the City of Westminster and the City of London. Situated along the River Thames, these boroughs are steeped in history. With fascinating stories, a very knowledgeable guide will introduce the kids to the important buildings and iconic symbols of this part of London. This tour has been designed to be both educational and fun!

Pass By: Westminster Abbey, 20 Dean's Yard Broad Sanctuary, London SW1P 3PA England

The first stop is Westminster Abbey, the magnificent Gothic abbey church next to the Palace of Westminster and the most important religious building in all of the United Kingdom. This church is where Britain's kings and queens are traditionally crowned and also where they are eventually buried.

Pass By: Big Ben, Parliament Sqaure Elizabeth Tower - Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London SW1A 0AA England

Next, your guide will take you to see Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster. The Palace of Westminster is home to the two houses of the British Parliament, the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Together with Elizabeth Tower, more commonly known as Big Ben after its main bell, it constitutes an iconic landmark of London and the United Kingdom in general, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.

Pass By: Downing Street, London SW1A 2AL England

You will then visit Downing Street, the location of the official residence and offices of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdon at number 10, as well as that of the Chancellor of the Exchequer number 11.

Pass By: Buckingham Palace, Spur Road, London SW1A 1AA England

Just a short walk away from Downing Street is Buckingham Palace, official London residence and administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom. You will know if the Queen is in residence or not by looking at the flag flying above the Palace. If you see the Union Flag, then the Queen is not present. If you see the Royal Standard, she is in residence. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the amazing spectacle of the Changing of the Guard can be seen, as long as the weather is fine and if it is schedule d in the day of the tour (the ceremony can be cancelled in case of special events or during holidays).

Pass By: St. Paul's Cathedral, St Paul's Churchyard, London EC4M 8AD England

Finally, you will take the worlds oldest metro system, the London Underground, from the City of Westminster to the City of London, home to the world famous St. Paul's Cathedral, which you will be able to admire from the outside. While our guide tried, I wouldn't recommend this for young children. Our tour guide wasn't as knowledgeable and she was focused on current stories versus historical facts. Our children know nothing of the current royal family. We had to keep prompting to ask for historical facts. I would not recommend.

We recently booked a 'Best of London' tour for families with London Tours For Kids and Families. The booking process was very easy and we even got to agree on some itinerary adjustments, so that we could accommodate some specific places (and some special kids' requirements) into the tour. We were lucky enough to have Dan assigned as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and incredibly fun! We visited the 'most wanted' places and we also learnt very interesting stories and fun facts about London. This tour was not only a great introduction to the city and its history, but it was also the best way to cover the two main neighborhoods (Westminster and City, including the changing of the Guard), in one single morning. We are very happy to have done it and we highly recommend it!
