How to begin. Let's start at the beginning. The pick up place was very hard to find. Several of us from the tour had difficulty finding it. Upon finding it we were kept standing in line for a half hour instead of being able to board the the bus at the designated time. There were older people and people with canes standing and waiting. Once the tour started we were informed that because of the Julbilee we would not be able to go anywhere near Buckingham palace. The name of the tour was London in one day with the changing of the guard. If we couldn't go anywhere near the palace we should have had the option of a refund. At some point the tour director asked if we could all handle a ten minute walk that she would take slow. Everyone agreed it would be okay. We were then led on a fast paced 45 minute walk. During the walk, the older people and the person with the cane had a VERY hard time keeping up. The tour director was totally clueless and could care less where any one was. She had to be told that there were people way behind. There was a wonderful couple on the tour that made it their business to try and keep track of everyone. They ended leaving the tour early because the director frustrated them so much. At one point we left the bus to tour St Paul's Cathedral. When one of the guests came out of the Cathedral the bus had been moved without the guests being informed that it was going to be moved. In the meantime the bus started leaving without him. When the tour director was told by his wife that he wasn't there her comment was "I counted. Are you sure?" She was assured from his wife that he was not there and she finally went to find him. We also were not given enough time to make our reservation for the eye and lost the money we spent on it. All in all it was a terrible experience and most of it could be placed directly at the feet of the tour director.

Figuring out where to meet for this tour was VERY confusing! When we finally found the location, the man who worked for this company was so disorganized and seemed confused himself. The tour itself was fine. The morning drive around London was too long-it seemed that we were stuck in traffic more than anything. We did see the changing of the guards though which was neat. My only other complaint about the morning was that we went 3 hours with no bathroom stop and we were told we couldn’t use the bathroom on the coach. That’s a long time! The afternoon was jam packed! By the time we got to the Tower of London, we only had 20 minutes if we wanted to make it to the boat cruise and London Eye on time. As it was, we got to the London Eye and we were the last group they let in. It seems that we could’ve cut some of the driving time in the morning to allow for more time at the other attractions. We did a lot in one day and enjoyed the things we did-just needed more time!

The guide was very knowledgeable but it doesn’t matter how much knowledge a person has if they can’t show you what’s been advertised. I wanted to see the changing of the guard and also tour the tower of London and hear the history. However neither one of those things were covered. I feel like I was misled since they did not cover either event. The bus was late and we never saw the palace or even got close to where the changing of the guard occurred. So for me this was a waste of money.

We were given no information on where to meet the tour except Victoria coach station which is huge. We also had no phone number or email to contact the provider. The tour guide was knowledgeable but hard to hear outside. He walked too fast for my husband and I to keep up and we got lost from the tour at one stop. We were too tired to walk over to the London eye after the cruise and went back to the hotel.

Missed the changing of the guard by minutes and never went to Trafalgar Square to see the sights or eat lunch. The tour guide and the driver were wonderful, though. I was temporarily handicapped and had difficulty keeping up with the group.
