Simone was personal and very knowledgeable about Milan. Who knew there were beautiful flamingos in the middle of this city? We even made a wish into a sculptured ear on the side of a building! It was a fun and interesting walk, I got to see where the Necchi sisters of sewing machine fame lived We are requesting to go on another tour with Simone.

We booked the private foodtour in Milano for 4h. From the start we noticed that the guide was not prepared and unexperienced. She admitted to. I did foodtours in different places and all had the samen style. A lot of food, drinks and a ghost who really listened to what we want. We walked about 2h without food or drinks or anything. When we asked about culture or buildings or history she didn’t know it. So at the end of the day we paid €205 for a lasagne and a cupcake. After contact they gave us a refund of 25%. After we said that’s still a lot of money they ignored us!

The positive part of this experience was that our guide was flexible and resourceful in getting us a private boat tour of Lake Como once we were already on the train heading for Como. The guide was a young college student from Milan who spoke English and Italian fluently, but he had no experience in guiding a tour of the Lake Como area. Fortunately, the boat driver knew the lake well and explained many great sites to our guide in Italian, which he translated into English. The website indicated that a boat tour was included, but it was not. We paid $250/hour for a 3 hour boat tour. We bought some pizzettas and wine at a grocery store in Como for the boat ride, which made it much more enjoyable.

I would HIGHLY recommend this customized tour for any first timer in Milan. Our guide Alessandro was charming, friendly and helpful. He also happily answered all our questions and NO was never the answer. He helped us get local sim cards for our phones which we would not have been able to do alone at the start of our two week Italian tour :- . Again I would highly recommend this tour and specifically Alessandro as a guide.
