PATH OF THE GOLD - WATERFALLS - ALAMBIQUE - SHORT ROTARY

Stunning waterfalls, natural pools and lots of greenery await you on a delightful walk along the ancient path of Gold. Knowing all that nature offers us in the midst of the Atlantic Forest, as well as sampling the sweets and cachaças of the region, is a must-see! We will visit 1 complex of Waterfalls with 2 Waterfalls. In the complex of Cachoeiras in the District of Penha, there are the 2 most famous waterfalls of Paraty: Tarzan and Tobogan. The latter famous by the natural slide of approximately 20 meters. Lots of amusement and crystal clear water. We will spend approximately 2 hours in these cahcoeiras, taking advantage of the toboggan. We will visit the Engenho D'oro Alembic, where we will have a guided tour to know the famous cachaças of Paraty, including the famous GABRIELA carnation and cinnamon! We will also get to know the Penha Church and Toten da Estrada Real. In the totem we will tell the whole history of the path of Gold that passed through Paraty.

We had a fantastic day with our guide Elias. He spoke perfect English, knew vast amounts about the local area and went to great lengths to ensure we all had a great time and were safe in the waterfalls. A definite highlight of our trip and would recommend using Jango and Elias

We decided to take the Jeep tour with Jango based on the recommendation from our hotel on the day. We were greeted by Elias who was a knowledgeable guide who ensured everyone had a great day, loads of fun and stayed safe. The waterfalls were beautiful and we were lucky to be the only ones there to enjoy the clear but cold water. Elias led the way by jumping in to show everyone how it was done. His facts and information about each area was fantastic and he was able to deliver this in 3 languages, very impressive. The tobbogan was great fun and lunch at Tarzan Falls was good value too. All in all, definitely check this out if you have a day free in Paraty and you won't regret it. Top marks for Jango Tours and Elias!
