This hour-long adventure start with a splash into the water and swimming off like a duck for a picturesque harbour tour before climbing back on land for a city tour of the historical Civic District.

Cruise along Marina Bay, where you can admire views of the bustling urban city's skyline and marvel at Singapore's most iconic landmark—the Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, the Esplanade Theatre and the towering Merlion.

Your journey continues as you waddle back onto land and drive past the Singapore Flyer and into the Civic District. There you’ll see the steps of the Old Supreme Court where much of Singapore's history was made, and the War Memorial Park, a tribute to those who gave their lives during WWII.

The taxi got us to ducktours but as we arrived, we saw an empty boat leave minutes before scheduled departure. when we got there, there was a sign saying they’ve moved. By the time we walked all the way to the desk, but lady said boat had already left and that’s nothing they could do to help. Not even put us on the next boat. But the boat that left was completely empty. Why couldn’t they wait a couple of minutes?

The tour is worth doing as it provides the usual facts and figures as well as a way to orientate yourself within the city. It wasn't as good as some other duck tours we have been on around the world, the main issue being the difficulty hearing the guide over the bad speakers (contending with the loud engine) which in fairness was hindered by the language barrier (as accents make it harder to hear in such circumstances). The one point I would make is that it's really not hard to find them in the shopping centre - I have no idea why everyone complains about that, I guess other people think it's OK to be late even though the terms clearly state you should arrive 30 mins prior to the tour to check in. Which gives plenty of time for the 2 mins it takes to find them inside Tower 2 (don't just wait outside!)

No clear instructions on where to meet. Waited outside suntec tower 2 for 10 minutes after arriving at 11.50am. At 12pm went inside and after asking a few people found the ticket office. We ended up forfeiting our ride. Unfriendly office staff, not helpful. Going forward please make it clear where to meet.

The only negatives were that the entire tour was 50 minutes instead of the advertised hour and that it was very loud and we often couldn't hear the tour guide.

Have been on many duck tours in our travels......they are always fun and interesting. Since Singapore is so small, we were able to see most of the city and the views from the water were great!
