I bought this experience for a very important business partner to go with his girlfriend. Needless to say you have ruined my image with all that false advertisement of "buffet" when all you provided was stone cold meals in winter. I demand a refund! This is such a disgrace!!!
The ride itself was great. The boat handling’s etc was great but The crew was shy and it would have been good to have a short commentary of landmarks, announcements of departure, turning points, which areas we are going to etc. That with some more interaction would make this stand out.
Nothing.,it was disgusting!!! What must I say? There was no buffet except for boxed stale and what appeared to be left over food from another restaurant.
Disappointing, first the operator wanted to move us from the dinner cruise to the sunset cruise a couple of hours before departure, then to the following evening, but we could not accept as we already had plans for Christmas eve. So he said all were in order and the plan goes ahead for the evening booked. When we arrived we received no welcome from the staff, they were still cleaning the deck after the sunset cruise, we waited 30min then had to look for the waitress and requested drinks , only water and tea was included the price but we had no option of buying anything to drink extra. Also no alcohol is available on the dhow, after a long discussion we received soft drinks but they had limited diet drinks and 2 guests had only one can each for the duration of the cruise, we needed to pay extra for the sweets after the meal and the food served were just nice and nothing special........... Thus, the best experience was the pick up and drop off, the driver was very pleasant and on time for the pick up and drop off and the ride was very comfortable.
the operator didnt pick us up and we waited 40 min (on christmas eve!!!). The phone number on the tickets we only reached the mailbox. After google for the right number he told us that he send me a cancelletion message at the La Vacanza Travel site (Anbieter kontaktieren). How should i know that there could be a message be hidden... i didnt get any notification at my e mail or something. He sent the mail to me at 2 pm of the same day and told me that the cruise dinner is now a private event because of christmas and they just knew it the day befor...i already paid the event and it was a way to expensive. I dont know how i should get my money back. The most unprofessional service i ever had on vacation. What a shame!!!
