Our tour guide Sameer met us promptly at the hotel and talked us through our itinerary for the next couple of days. He also offered us an extra experience of visiting the Taj Mahal at sunset, which would be recommended. (Take insect repellent as the mosquitoes are out at this time). The following morning our access into the Taj Mahal was trouble free with no queuing which allowed us to maximise our available visit time. Sameer’s knowledge of the Taj Mahal and its history was exceptional and he was willing to answer any questions we had. After returning to the hotel for breakfast we then had the opportunity to visit the workshop where we could see the unique craft work of how the gem stones were inserted in to the white marble, as seen at the Taj Mahal. Then on to Agra fort where we were again excellently informed about the fascinating history of the fort, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and take photos. We were also offered the experience to visit some local crafts, but we were short on time and there was no obligation. We would 100% recommend Sameer for all your tour guide needs. He was warm and friendly with a great sense of humour and a good command of English. His knowledge and passion was unparalleled and we truly felt we got the most out of an experience of a lifetime.

Our guide Sameer was fantastic. He explained all of the options we had of where and what we wanted to see. Visiting the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort was a sightseeing experience. it was a fantastic journey thanks to our amazing guide. He brilliantly explained the tombs history, and architectural brilliance. He took us on two tours, one for a sunset and one for sunrise. There was absolutely no question about the zero queuing, it was fast and a stress free experience. After the sunrise experience we were taken to see how the stones were made into the marble, this was extremely fascinating as it is a very unique skill. There was an opportunity to purchase some small pieces from the shop at the end. We then moved onto our final stop which was the Agra red fort. From the moment we stepped foot inside the fort's gates, our guide's enthusiasm was contagious, as he expertly led us through the fort constantly giving us the history and recounted captivating stories of emperors. our guide's attention to detail and personalized approach ensured that every member of our group felt engaged and involved throughout the tour. Thanks to our guide's expertise and passion, our visit to Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal was not just two days of sightseeing , but a journey through history and heritage. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking an unforgettable exploration of history and these beautiful treasurers. His dedication to his job and genuine love for sharing of these marvels make him a fantastic tour guide to have.

Sameer is a good photographer and can speak English well. We got picked up in a car, but dropped off in a rickshaw. He was nice enough to take us to a saree shop when we asked, and quoted a more reasonable price to expect (do your research beforehand). We lost our jacket in the car, and after contacting the hotel, the guide returned it to us. I usually don’t write reviews, but since he has asked, here it is. You don’t need to pay for the photographer at Taj Mahal offering to, as they try to scam you by charging different rates and selling a different number of photos, depending on how insistent you are on not wanting the photos. We figured since the guide kept recommending it, it was a good price and of good quality. However, this was not the case. All I can say is, as tourists, do your research prior to the day. We booked through the hotel, so the price differed if you paid straight to the hotel or tour. Originally we were told everything was included (driver, etc), but it seems like everywhere is a misunderstanding. Make sure everything is clearly noted somewhere!
