It is constructed mainly from red sandstone, giving it a distinctive reddish color. The fort complex is surrounded by massive walls, and it encompasses various buildings, courtyards, gardens, and palaces. Notable structures within the fort include the Jahangiri Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Khas Mahal, and the iconic Moti Masjid.
