Expect pickup from your hotel in Belek, Kadriye, Serik, or Bogazkent by 10am: the exact time will be confirmed to you after you book. From Belek, it's about a 25-minute drive to Tasagil, where your 4x4 open-top vehicles will be waiting.
You'll have time to buy refreshments and snacks if you'd like as you wait for all participants to arrive. Once everyone is ready, you'll set off through the pine forests in an exhilarating 4-wheel-drive convoy.
This is a great way to experience the beauty of the Taurus Mountains. Roar through evergreen forests, cross rivers, and see medieval ruins: you'll even get a quick swim break by the river to cool down and wash off the dust.
By noon, you'll be at the rafting base. Fortify yourself with a lunch of grilled chicken, pasta, rice, salad, and seasonal fruits, before you get kitted out for your Koprulu Canyon adventure: be sure to bring rubber-soled shoes for rafting (sneakers are fine).
Your instructor will equip you with full safety gear, including foam life jackets and helmets. He'll also offer a quick safety briefing and explain paddling techniques.
Next, hop aboard the raft – which looks like a giant inflatable dinghy – and paddle away as you admire the stunning scenery of this dramatic rock gorge. It's about eight miles (13 kilometers) to the rapids, where the Grade II white water bumps and swirls.
There are no drybags on the dinghies and things do get extremely wet, so please don't bring anything that can be damaged by water. You'll have the chance to buy printed pictures and videos of the day's adventure to take home at the end of the day.
Your off-road vehicles will be waiting for you at the end of the rafting trip. It's around 45 minutes back to Tasagil, where you'll hop back on the bus to return to your hotel around 6pm.
