Alongside the main canals are 1550 monumental buildings.[1] The 17th-century canal ring area, including the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht and Jordaan, were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010,[2] contributing to Amsterdam's fame as the "Venice of the North

Pass By: Houseboat Museum, Prinsengracht 296 K, 1016 HW Amsterdam The Netherlands

A houseboat (different from boathouse, which is a shed for storing boats) is a boat that has been designed or modified to be used primarily as a home. Some houseboats are not motorized, because they are usually moored, kept stationary at a fixed point and often tethered to land to provide utilities. However, many are capable of operation under their own power. Float house is a Canadian and American term for a house on a float (raft); a rough house may be called a shanty boat.[1] In Western countries, houseboats tend to be either owned privately or rented out to holiday-goers, and on some canals in Europe, people dwell in houseboats all year round. Examples of this include, but are not limited to, Amsterdam, London, and Paris

Incredibly relaxing cruise amongst the gorgeous river canals of the Dutch capital city that is colloquially known as Amsterdam. My fair acquaintances and I are very glad to have partaken in this unique excursion.

This is a must try to do when in Amsterdam. The staff were very kind, food was great, boat was good. Staff were very attentive with your needs during the cruise. They were also very accommodating. I had to rebook because our travel to Amsterdam was delayed. They accommodated my request. Great for children! Will definitely do this again when we come back in the future.

We had a great time. We took the 8:30 PM cruise on a perfect spring evening. The crew was informative and attentive. The beer was cold, the pizza was hot. Our fellow riders were a really nice mix of locals and tourists. It was a real goat time.
