Don’t go on a rainy day! The town is very interesting and the stop along the way to the Dam. As it was raining the windows stay down on the canal boat so you don’t see much…until you walk around .. No matter how many times the guide begged people to be on time back to the bus , there were always 4 or 5 others that didn’t consider anyone but themselves.. screaming bored children… people talking loudly on phones I couldn’t wait to get off the bus! It would have been nice in a smaller group or alone. The restaurant is awesome! Lovely staff and food! The tour guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed listening to the history.

Trip was well managed but the bus pick up is 10mins walking from the main train station where we were supposed to meet the tour guide. As it was raining and cold, this should have been managed better so that people don't get wet walking for 10 mins even before the trip starts. Bus is nice. As a trip, it was good. Walking more or less is upto each individual. Dike halt was stunning. Giethoorn boat tour was ok considering it was raining so nothing clearly visible from inside a plastic covered boat. Something different should be organised on rainy days. Or wait for it to stop raining. Lunch restaurant De Grachthof was a great suggestion. The Giethoorn village itself was stunning with wonderful pathways and bridges and I think we would have loved to stay on a bit longer. I would recommend this trip for all ages. Guide was polite and bilingual. English and Spanish.

Not much value add except bring us to destination. We walk around on our own because the guide didn’t wait. More economical to walk around on your own. No need to spend so much money on just transport.

A leisurely boat ride through the canals of Geithoorn allowed us to see the beautiful houses and gardens. The enclosing dike was a marvel to see and experience first hand.

We took the tour using "Tickets and Tours". This town provided an excellent live demonstration on how wooden shoes are made. Wooden shoes were designed to be used in the ground reclaimed by the dikes. Beautiful community, wonderful people.
