Our tour began at Tulip tours location in north Amsterdam where we had a chance to get a beverage before starting. The bus seating was very comfortable and had storage above each seat. We sat near the middle door so we had quick access in and out. Tall people may be a bit uncomfortable with leg room. First part of the tour was visiting the windmill, watching a brief video on windmills in the Netherlands over time followed by a visit to a real working historical windmill. There are some steep steps to go to upper levels but it’s not necessary to climb them to see everything. We also visited 3 tulip farms with plenty of opportunities for photos. Lunch was at a very charming small and modern restaurant with soup, rolls, deli fixings and fruit/juices. Overall, this tour was the perfect opportunity to see some of the most popular cultural symbols of the Netherlands while avoiding the tulip seeking crowds. I highly recommend. FYI, bottled water was not provided on this tour but Roehle was very forward thinking in bringing disposable shoe covers to wear to the fields and avoid getting muddy feet.
The tour guides were amazing. Mike and Roole had amazing knowledge and even a tour of the family farm. The working wind mill was amazing. We had lunch at a local restaurant which was lovely. We were fortunate that the tulips were blooming too!
We had a great time! The tulip fields were amazing, we enjoyed the windmill stop, and the lunch was great! Our bus was the only group at the stops so there were no crowds. We highly recommend!
Fantastic experience … Roel and Mike did an outstanding job! Very informative and well organized. Thanks again very much! 👍
Amazing trip. The tulips were awesome as was the windmill stop. The tour guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would give it 6 stars if possible. The provided lunch was great as well.
