Stop At: Goat Island Marine Reserve, Goat Island Road Leigh, Warkworth, Auckland New Zealand

Our staff are located on the beach under the Pohutukawa tree at Goat Island. Park at the top of the hill and it is a short walk down. Or, use the loading zone to drop off any passengers at the bottom of the hill and then park the car at the top.

  • All equipment provided.

Exclusions
  • You will get wet up to your knees, so bring a towel and possibly a change of trousers/shorts.
  • Bring warm clothes and a jacket if the weather is cool.

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No previous kayak experience is required
  • One person in each kayak does need to be able to swim 20+ metres
  • Stroller accessible
  • Minimum age 3 years old. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the kayak.
  • Service animals allowed
  • Weight limit 100kg per person or 200kg total per Clearyak
  • Clearyak is suitable in all tides
  • Most travelers can participate
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
  • This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

This unique experience was one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand! We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather and the experience of kayaking with the marine life was fabulous. Kip was wonderful: helpful, kind and informative. A really wonderful experience which I would highly recommend.

The clear kayaks are east to handle, and very cool seeing the fish swimming underneath! Goats island protects the area from large swells, so no risk of getting g rounded by "a big one"! Great experience all around!

Absolutely amazing activity. My 10 year old daughter and I took a Clearyak for an hour and had the best time. Kip was amazingly helpful, kind and so good with my daughter. We will be back with the rest of the family asap, 10 out 10!

Was a great experience and such a cool way to see marine life up close. The staff even told us where to go to find a lot of the fish and sting rays etc
