See one of New Zealand's popular black sand beaches on the west coast. Muriwai beach is also famous for surfing and a large gannet colony. Experience the beautiful sea birds up close at the different lookouts overlooking the beach.

Enjoy stunning views of Auckland City from Bastion Point also known as MJ Savage Memorial. This is a significant area in New Zealand history where Maori protested to save the land. Michael Joseph Savage, New Zealand's first labour prime minister is also buried here.

Drive past one of Aucklands most stunning waterfront suburbs , just a short drive from Auckland CBD. Mission Bay is popular for swimming, dining and relaxing especially in the summer time.
Stop At: Achilles Point, Cliff Road St Heliers Bay, Auckland Central, Auckland 2004 New Zealand
Another place to view Auckland City and the Waitemata Harbour is Achilles Point. This rocky point is also known as the head of Horoiwi, located just past Saint Helliers Bay and above Ladies Bay. Traditional Maori carvings stand on the lookout representing important Maori chiefs.
