At hobbiton you will be guided on a walking tour of the Hobbiton Movie set with a local Hobbiton guide - At the end of your tour you will relax at the Green Dragon with a complimentary drink before we take you to Waitomo Caves for your caving activities.

Stop At: Waitomo Caves, Waitomo Caves, Waitomo District, Waikato Region, North Island

At Waitomo Caves you will have a guided tour of the 1 caves you have booked - The world renowned Waitomo Glow-worm cave

Everything went smooth. One of the drivers was very asocial, the other was very nice and funny, but both are not tour guides, so don't expect much info from them. You get 15-20 min at Hobbiton cafe to have coffee/breakfast. Hobbiton is a beautiful place, the guide was funny and informative! For lunch there was a buffet, plenty of food (don't get the cider, it tastes like vinegar). The Waitomo Caves with the boat ride were also really nice, the guide was also very informative, but it felt a bit too short, I wish we had more time there. In general these are must-do experiences, but at both Hobbiton and Waitomo I felt like on a conveyor - there are groups just in front and behind you, so the tours felt rushed because the next group is coming and you don't have time to wander around or go back. If I had more time, I would have stayed somewhere around and done the Black Water Rafting in Waitomo.

If you plan to move from Auckland to Rotorua or vice versa and want something to see, this trip is for you! You can also bring your suitcase with you. and 2 drivers were so helpful. I highly recommend it!!! 오클랜드 왕복 투어는 많은데 이거는 오클랜드-로토루아 혹은 로토루아-오클랜드로 이동하면서 관광지를 들릴 수 있어서 좋았다. 캐리어도 1인당 한 개씩 차에 실을 수 있다. (너무 크면 공간이 부족할 수 있음).

The Glowworm caves are a fantastical phenomenon of nature, almost magical, certainly worth seeing! For fans of the Hobbit and LOTR, Hobbiton is a MUST SEE! This is an incredible experience! You feel as if you’re going to see Bilbo and Frodo run through the shire and pop up any minute in their hobbit hole! So realistic and true to the films! You can touch and sit on the furniture, explore each room! The location is beautiful as in the movie.. worth every minute in the shire! Just amazing!

It was an amazing experience! Like really being inside the movie but better! The caves were also so incredible! But I have to say that our guide Edison made all the difference, from picking us up early with a great energy and kindness to making everything else very easy and smooth! He would answer every question explaining it so well and easy that was pure joy!

We had Peter as a driver. He was crucial to our experiences being so positive. I wish him the very best for the future and his endeavours. FlexiToursNZ came to the rescue when I contacted them at the last minute. The group size was perfect. We met a family from Jacksonville, Florida, and two women from Singapore. We spoke, developed respect and shared moments during the trip. Our specific tour at Hobbiton was enjoyable, outside of the young lady who kept heckling my son to stay with our tour group and not wander everywhere at Hobbiton (but she didn't work for FlexiTours). Big T made looking at caves (Waitomo) a beautiful experience, especially with his singing. I hope one day, our friends from the tour group will read this review and smile, looking back at our brief encounter, moments of happiness from a short time in life passing through a small town reminiscent of a big movie (which we never watched).
