Waitomo is a village on the North Island of New Zealand. It’s known for its extensive underground cave systems. Thousands of glow-worms light up the Glowworm Caves. The vast Ruakuri Cave features waterfalls and limestone formations. West Mangapohue Natural Bridge is a high limestone arch over the Mangapohue Stream. Waitomo caves visit for the day.

The Hobbiton Movie Set is a significant location used in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogy. It serves as a stand-in for the town of Hobbiton in the Shire in both trilogies.

Te Puia's geothermal activity is a place to visit in Rotorua. The New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute is an indigenous traditional art school in Rotorua, New Zealand. It operates the national schools of three primary Māori art forms. NZMACI opened in 1963 as a successor school to the previous national school for woodcarving in Rotorua.
