Sanctuary Mountain is an opportunity to walk through a bush and see many unique, interesting, and often rare birds. The highlight was seeing both a male and female hihi (stitchbird) which is very rare. The Waitomo Caves were similar to other caves we've visited, but the glowworms were amazing and a sight I'll never forget. Riding a boat in complete silence while viewing the glowworms in the dark Glowworm Grotto was both peaceful and awe-inspiring.
