The Sky Tower is located on the corner of Victoria and Federal Street right in the heart of Auckland and operates 365 days of the year. It is recommended that you spend at least 1 hour at the Auckland Sky Tower to really enjoy all there is to offer! Some of the highlights include:

This attraction is pretty expensive for the basic ticket. On the day I visited we were warned there maybe limited visibility although it was more limited than advised. Additionally it was quite windy which led to all but one lift being closed and the tower swaying. The sign claimed a lift was undergoing maintenance, it actually could not handle the conditions which led to extra queueing in the air. There was no warning about the swaying which lots of people found uncomfortable. The staff were mixed in friendliness and the windows were in need of cleaning. More warnings should have been given and the ticket prices should be reduced everyday.

We’ve done a few Sky towers around the world, not the tallest one but tall enough to see the city. Not a must but you kind of have to do it at least once on any city that has one to get an idea of the size/lay out of any downtown area. Would recommend it as it’s walking distance from pretty much everywhere in the downtown area.

We went to the Sky bar and to the top platform. Really enjoyed the views despite the mist at times. SkyBar was cool. Friendly staff and good cocktails and snacks. All reasonable priced. We would have liked to have see the 360 restaurant but weren’t allowed to stop on that floor. Wasn’t keen on gift shop. Great way to get your bearings in the city and look over the coast.

Sky tower is fantastic you can take in all the views of Auckland it is so beautiful. I highly recommend going up there on your trip to Auckland.

Top of sky tower when it was shaky bcz of windy weather. Photo shot at tower was fun... But admission tickets are expensive as compared to see activities and fun. Please lower ticket prices its unfair
