Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels, an impressive underground network used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. Your guide will provide a detailed history of the tunnels and their significance. The tour guide will take you on a tour through the actual tunnels, where you’ll learn more about the living conditions, the hardships the tunnel’s residents faced, and the ingenuity utilized to maintain life in the tunnels, including weapon workshops and booby traps. You will have an opportunity to navigate an authentic Viet Cong tunnel, visit bunkers designed as kitchens, meeting rooms, and weapon areas, give your best shot at a firing range, and try some exceptional food and special tea that they used during wartime. And then, we will continue to the Mekong Delta.

Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch, including local dishes, at a nearby restaurant. Depart for the Mekong Delta, a scenic drive that takes you through the countryside, passing rice paddies and local villages—cruise along the winding waterways of the delta, surrounded by lush vegetation and picturesque landscapes. Visit local villages, fruit orchards, and coconut candy workshops along the way.
After that, take a little walk through the garden, getting on board a hand-rowing sampan to wind through some green, lush, picturesque canals between lines of nipa palm. At the end of the canals, you will see your cruise boat and coconut fruit waiting to take you back to the Van.
