It was a solo private tour with Ramesh, who was devoted and knowledgeable. After getting stucked in a monsoon which started during the trip, he volunteered to extand the trip.
First off, Praveen is great. I'd take any tour with him. Wealth of information. This walking tour included: ashram, old British church, Hindu temple, sheik temple, old British part of town and old native part of town. The best part was walking thru a small (and manageable) bazaar, and getting snacks. Try the Indian prunes. Be prepared to take your shoes off for temples. You can wear socks.
This walking tour is a great way to explore some different facets of the city. Going at a nice relaxed pace, we discovered some of the different quarters of this part of the city while learning facts about different eras of history, religion, culture & we also tasted some snacks. A great way to do a little exploring and learn something along the way.
Really enjoyable especially the flower market which was bonkers but so much fun. I'd def recommend doing this plus Praveen is a really nice chap.
This was an excellent tour through Bangalore. We visited a beautiful garden, several temples, and an amazing marketplace area along the way. Our guide was extremely friendly and very knowledgable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.
