Was special to go to Wat Pho during Thai new years celebrations. Guide showed us things we wouldn't have known had we gone alone.

We went on the 4pm tour and met at the Gellato shop. That is worth a visit if you get there early for the air con and a refreshing drink. You can also buy cheap cover up trousers nearby if you are wearing shorts. Met by our guide Noy (make sure you have some id with you). A nice man who had had plenty to tell us about the temples as we went around. His English was very good and a he had a fun sense of humour. Both temples are impressive but built in very different styles. The 2nd temple at sunset was beautiful but is popular with the locals in traditional dress taking photos. They are trying to replicate a popular film set there. Finished about 6.30pm, Noy got us on a boat to take us back to the train station. Well worth a visit, thanks Noy!

Tour guide, Nancy, was engaging and fun. Just the right amount of info and walking around. Started on time and ended promptly.
