Overview

Gaudi and Modernism tour

Discover the best of Gaudi during a private tour through the city!

Start your tour from Barceloneta central beach and enjoy the vibrant harbor atmosphere. After a short introduction, you'll continue to Park Ciutadella to enjoy a Segway ride, but not before you spot some modern day art along your way that all locals love! Next up is Passeig de Gracia, the district where you will see the stunning Fundacio Tapies, modernist houses and Gaudi’s main constructions.

During your ride, enjoy Gaudi’s unique monuments such as the Casa Batllo and Casa Mila (more commonly known as "La Pedrera").

You will have short stops during the tour, where you can make pictures or buy some souvenirs.

Before starting your tour  to see the sights of Barcelona, your guide will show you how to manage the personal transporter safely. Once you feel confident, the tour will begin.

This is a great chance for those who wants to see the city and enjoy a Segway in one time. During a tour you can make a stops to have some drinks of enjoy a real Spanish tapas.

You will start your tour from the Barceloneta beach where you will enjoy a beautiful coast. This is one of Barcelona's oldest and best-loved beaches. It is thought to have inspired Miguel de Cervantes as the setting for the fight between Don Quixote and the Knight of the White Moon.

Next you’ll go to the Old Port of Barcelona. It was built as part of an urban renewal program prior to the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Before this, it was a run-down area of empty warehouses, railroad yards, and factories.

You’ll stop in front of the Columbus monument. It was constructed for the World's Fair Barcelona in 1888 in honor to Columbus first voyage to the Americas. And also you will see a charming famous boulevard – La Rambla. After we’ll move to the central Parc de la Ciutadella, historical landmark of the great expansion of the city.

The rest of the tour we will spend passing  close to the Arc of Triumph and going back to the office through the Olimpic Port. The project was carried out following the 1992 Olympics, opening the city to the sea, and this was the area which hosted the Sailing Competitions during the Games. Here are located the famous skyscrapers: Mapfre and Hotel Arts. Both towers are measuring exactly the same, reaching 154 meters in height, and are literally placed one in front of each other. You'll see them from anywhere in Barcelona, because of its monumental and impressive modern architecture.

After you will go all the way up till the Forum Parc. The park was built for the 2004 Universal Forum of Cultures. It isn't a park or green space in the strictest sense of the word, but a large area which brings together a series of spaces and amenities which host a wide range of events.

I would absolutely recommend this tour. I’ve been to Barcelona twice before but this tour gave me a fabulous view of the town that I’d never seen before. I was with friends and our teenage sons, everyone had a great time, although the dad’s bottled it and we went on scooters not Segway’s ! Zarina and her colleague were brilliant guides - Zarina, when you get a chance can you please send us the pics you took of the group ?

Zarina was our guide and we had so much fun with her. My wife and I really enjoy segway tours and this one was exceptional. My college-age daughter was with us also and it was her first time on a segway. She was a bit nervous at first, but enjoyed the tour. We loved seeing Barcelona and enjoyed learning about the architecture. Highly recommended!
