TOUR DESCRIPTION

After 50-minute drive from Barcelona we first visit the Benedictine Abbey, first built on the 11th century and home to Catalonia’s Patroness Saint, The Black Madonna, a strong symbol of spirituality and unity for the local people.

At the Monastery area we browse amongst regional products in the local farmer’s market before we head to the ranch.

There, we enjoy an unforgettable experience on horseback over the stunning countryside at Montserrat’s National Park. We follow a three Romanesque hermitages route while we are amused by this unique, jagged and sawtooth mountain range.

Before we head back to Barcelona we still have time to relax at the ranch breathing in Nature.

We visit Montserrat’s National Park and its Abbey which is the heart of Catalan identity. Its combination of history, spirituality, nature and culture make Montserrat such a unique place to visit.

Stop At: Montserrat Mountains, Montserrat Mountains, Catalonia

After go to the Three Breeze Ranch, an impressive farm on the most spectacular hillside in the Park, with breathtaking views over the Mountain. It is known as the Romanesque Montserrat Area, with hermitages following the way of Saint James.

Jordi was our driver and guide at the monastery. He was supper friendly and knowledgeable about the geology of the area and the monastery. The horseback ride was fun but a short stop at the turn around point for a few pictures would have been nice.

Walking to the view spot (Cross) and the horseback riding. Such beautiful well kept and gentle horses and amazing views. Of course the really warm weather was amazing too!

Frank was absolutely wonderful! We loved our tour! Was an excellent balance of exploring a bit but also getting a nice amount of information and guidance. The cable car up then hike down was a perfect amount of exercise that we still got to take in incredible views but weren’t left sweating buckets after haha! Would highly recommend this! The pick up and drop off was super nice too!
