On this 3 hour food tour we worm our way through the city's old but vibrant performing arts district, calling in at 3 uniquely different venues. Poble Sec is centrally located, but feels miles away from the touristy crowds. The food is exceptional, with several of the traditional dishes offered with a little twist.

This is not a large historical walking tour with only a snack to look forward to at the end. As a Barcelona-only company we only work with independent, local restaurants, chosen for their best-in-class food and desserts. We promise you won’t go hungry.

In this small group tour, conversations will flow, and your guide will safely lead you through Barcelona sharing a personal, relaxed evening. What Can You Expect?

Pass By: El Molino, Vila i Vila, 99 Av. Paral·lel, 08004 Barcelona Spain

We will start off just outside of the famous El Molino theater, before snaking our way through the Poble Sec neighbourhood, discover three of the city's best restaurants. At the end of the tour, your guide will direct you back to this starting point so that you can make your onward journey.

    This was my favorite thing my daughter and I did while visiting Barcelona. Maribel was amazing and so knowledgeable. You should ask for her. We dined at 3 different restaurants, each were specializing in certain flavors and parts of Spain. The couple we shared the evening with were wonderful too. The neighborhood we walked thru was lovely and peaceful. So happy to see parts of Barcellona that weren't over touristy. It will be a favorite memory for years to come. My daughter has been to Barcelona multiple times, and she agreed this was really fun and our best evening out.

    Maria was a fabulous tour guide. It felt like we were visiting an old friend that moved to Barcelona! It was a very personal tour with fabulous food and wine. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona, its customs, and great small intimate places to eat. The owner of each place greeted us and had a reserved table waiting for us. Glad we did this tour early in our trip as it helped us understand what was on the menu and how much to order. She gave us many tips on other places to try all over Barcelona for the rest of the trip. Absolutely the best thing we did all week!!! Highly recommend Maria and the Barcelona Taste.

    We were very lucky to have Esther as our host. She is a very open, warm and generous woman - more than happy to make recommendations for our remaining days in Barcelona and our further travels in Spain. The tapas we had was amazing as were the wines we tried, While eating we were given interesting facts about Barcelona and other areas of Spain. There was a mix up with the meeting place but after rapid adjustments ( courtesy of Esther) it was fine and Esther fully accommodated for the delayed start. Thank you Esther for a great night out.

    We really enjoyed our Tapas Tour through Poble-sec! Our charming guide Lorea did a fantastic job of describing the Barcelona and Spanish way of life, introduced us to a lovely selection of tapas bars and took time to explain the various dishes we were eating. She also answered our many questions in a very competent and entertaining manner and we had a very interesting and informative discussion during the course of the evening. We thoroughly recommend doing the tour!
