We saw and tasted wines from 4 different wineries. Each winery had a superb representative that explained how they created the wines we were sampling. Very informative and fun. Each representative also spoke very good English so we had no communication issues. Also I want to give Colin our guide from WineWeinVinoVin a recommendation. He new the region and history and it was interesting hearing him talk about the area we were driving through. He setup lunch at a small restaurant that had excellent German food and made the whole day very pleasant. I highly recommend this tour! Mike

We took Colin's Baden-Württemberg tour on a beautiful summer day. Colin's knowledge and friendliness was apparent from the moment we met in our hotel foyer, whereupon we were whisked off in comfort and style.to our first winery, via some beautiful pinot noir vines. The tour took us through some pretty German countryside and included visits to four wineries each chosen for their own unique styles of wine production and for their various ethos. At each we were met by very knowledgeable and informative guides (including the owners/wine makers in some places) who provided some information and a tour and tasting of their wines. Nothing was too much trouble for Colin, who provided us with an interesting, informative and humourous commentary between wineries. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day and would highly recommend both Colin as your guide and the day visiting wineries in Baden-Württemberg. Cheers 🥂

We were staying in Basel and looking for a wine tour to do that wasn't in Alsace as we'd already taken wine tours of that area. We found WineWeinVinoVin's Baden-Württemberg tour and thought it would be interesting to compare these with Alsatian wines which are grown reasonably close by. Colin obviously has a wealth of knowledge about the area, loves wine as well as being a really friendly chap who is easy to chat to. He drove us through the Baden-Württemberg area which is very picturesque. We stopped in a vineyard and we visited four wineries as well as having lunch in a lovely restaurant recommended by Colin. In each winery, we spoke to the wine maker (in one case, he had to come in from working in the vineyards to speak to us) or someone in the winery who was very knowledgeable. Everyone we spoke to spoke very good English. We tried a wide variety of wines, some of which were very new to me. For example, Frühburgunder. We also got a chance to try some Trester that one of the winemakers also made. In two of the wineries, the tastings were very much tailored to what we liked. For example, "Oh, if you like this, you should try this next" or "If you prefer something more full-bodied, try this" etc. The experience was far from the polished corporate presentations that you can often get from bigger winemakers. It was also noticeable that in many of the wineries, Colin bought wine himself to take home. i.e. He took us to those wineries, because they make great wine, rather than because he is on commission. Additionally, there was no pressure for us to buy anything from any of the wineries. I'd strongly recommend this tour, as it is among the top wine tours I've ever done. The same company also does tours in Alsace. I haven't taken one, but on the basis of the Baden-Württemberg tour, I'd be happy to recommend WineWeinVinoVin's tour there too.
