This immersion day will allow you to better understand the wines of Burgundy through map reading in the vineyard, simple and clear explanations of winemaking techniques in the cellar, to better understand the history of Burgundy and its wines since the Roman Empire to the present day.
Our guides are qualified specialists and true enthusiasts.
Through authentic meetings, you will have access to very high quality wines, including of course the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus emblematic of Burgundy.

The program of the day :
- 2 domain visits
- Tasting of 12 wines including 4 x Grands Crus and Premiers Crus
- Explanations of the work of the vineyard and explanation of the vinification techniques
- Meeting with Burgundy specialists and / or winemakers
- Understanding the History of Burgundy wines from the Roman Empire to the present day

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

- 9:30 am: Meet at your accommodation (Chagny / Beaune / Dijon axis)

- Morning:
Stop in the vineyards for an explanation of Burgundy wines (notion of Climates, terroir, classification, appellation ...)
Visit of a domain and tasting of 6 Burgundy wines (Grands Crus and Premiers Crus included).

- Lunch: We will reserve a table for you in a local and traditional restaurant according to our itinerary (Lunch NOT included)

- Afternoon :
Walk in the vineyards and explanation of the work of the vine according to the different cycles of the vine and the seasons.
Visit of an estate and explanation of winemaking techniques in the cellar, then tasting of 6 Burgundy wines (Grands Crus and Premiers Crus included)

5:00 p.m .: return to your hotel.

    We had the best day in Burgundy with Fabien and Bourgoyne Gold Tours. Our guide Fabien was knowledgeable, fun, patient and very flexible in accommodating our needs. He had a close relationship with each of the chateaus we visited and we really the VIP tour at each. The van we got about in was new, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed each of the 3 tasting we made during the day. And the lunch was probably the best lunch we had in all of France. Fabien taught us a lot about the region, the wines, and the importance of the climat. I’d recommend this trip to anyone and look forward to a return trip.

    My husband and I had THE BEST time with Fabien on our day-long tour of the Cote D’Or for our wedding anniversary. Our guide Fabien was knowledgeable and extraordinarily fun. His passion for the region and its wines was clear and made the day all the more special. The van that brought us around was clean, roomy and had ample necessities like a sunroof and water. It was 5 star service that made travel to and from wineries very comfortable. The tasting themselves were wonderful, each unique and taught us about their distinct climat and wine-making methods. We ended up buying wine, which Fabien kindly helped us ship back to the US. The lunch organized for us was also perfect, a casual yet refined restaurant close to the tastings. If you are looking for an elevated Burgundy wine-tasting experience, look no further. Gold Tours is the gold standard. We will happily use their services & Fabien again if we return!     I had the opportunity to do the Gold tour last week and it was simply incredible! Youri (the owner) transmits his endless passion and knowledge with incredible clarity and you can see he was born for this job. He was the highlight of our experience. The service and the way the tour is organized is perfect, theory combined with practice and I assure you if you don’t like wine you we’ll get passionate about it. The only regret is that is was only one day! Definitely going to do it again and I recommend to everyone.

    Fabien did a great job showing us around for the day. He truly knows the region, and has a great depth of knowledge of the wines. In addition to showing us around the vineyards and towns (along the way), he was able to provide for several tastings which showed us a range of offerings. He helped arrange for shipping back to the US (which can be bundled). He also helped arrange for a good lunch for us. The picture was one of the vineyards we stopped at, but was not part of the gold tour.
