The Lama temple is the biggest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Beijing, which is also a popular worship place for locals. Converted from a royal palace to a Tibetan Buddhist temple by the emperor in the Qing Dynasty, the lama temple has been one of the most influential Tibetan Buddhism temples in China. Today it is not only a museum of Tibetan Buddhism but also a functioning temple where locals pray.
Follow your tour guide to stroll around the courtyards and halls to discover three treasures in the temple: the largest sandalwood Buddha in the world, the bronze Buddhas of past, present, and future, and the 500-Arhat-Hill.

Beijing Confucius Temple was built in 1306, It was the place where memorial ceremonies were held for Confucius during the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, while Guozijian in Beijing was the highest educational institution and administering organ of education set up by the state during the three dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing.
