Mutianyu section of the Great Wall enjoys less tourists making it easier to access and enjoy. Visiting the Summer Palace, you will see one of the most beautiful gardens in China. Tour includes tasty local lunch, all entrance fee, an English-speaking guide and transport by private vehicle.

Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China

Meet your private guide in hotel's lobby at your preferred time in Beijing.

Once arrive at the The Mutianyu Great Wall, you’ll enjoy a less hurried experience and take time to marvel at this wondrous structure and the surrounding hillsides. Take the cable car or ski lift up to the Wall, then hike up and down for about 1.5 hours at the various sections of the Wall, exploring the watch and beacon towers. After the hiking, you can choose to take the fun toboggan down or ski-lift/cable car back to the ground.

Mutianyu is a bit more rugged and slightly less crowded than the more famous Badaling. Over 96% of Mutianyu is covered by trees and orchards, keeping the air fragrant with chestnut blossoms in the spring and fresh all year long.

You will stop at a Local Restaurant for lunch.

Stop At: Summer Palace (Yiheyuan), No.19 Xinjian Gongmen Road, Haidian District, Beijing 100080 China

In the afternoon, continue to a well-preserved royal garden: the Summer Palace. Renowned for its beautiful landscape and spectacular architecture, the Summer Palace has been listed in the World Heritage Sites and considered as one of the most classical gardens of the world.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Hall of Benevolence and Longevity, Inside Summer Palace, Haidian District, Beijing 100091 China

Follow your tour guide to stroll around the garden, learn the stories and histories behind the buildings. Get to know the famous " Dragon Lady" and her life in the Summer Palace.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Long Corridor at the Summer Palace, No.19 Xinjian Gongmen Road, Haidian District, Beijing China

Walk along the longest corridor in the world which listed on the Guinness book of world record;

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Qingyan Stone Boat, Inside Summer Palace, Haidian District, Beijing 100091 China

Then continue to the Marble Boat--a foreign style superstructure which was supposed to be a symbol of stability of the Qing Dynasty. 

After the tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel or other sites you want to go in Beijing city.

We had only a few days in Beijing and wanted to see the Great Wall hassle free. Susan was an amazing guide for our day at the wall and summer palace. She gave us tons of interesting historical facts along the way. The pacing was perfect we didn’t feel rushed but still finished right on time. She definitely maximized our day to see the most interesting parts. The car ride was comfortable. Pickup at the hotel was a nice service. Highly recommended on any visit to Beijing.

A colleague and I had a few days R&R after completing a work project and decided to take a tour. I went on TripAdvisor and found this Summer Palace and Great Wall with English speaking guide. We were picked up promptly at 8am by Susan and driver. She had so much knowledge and an excitement to share, I was amazed. She truly went above and beyond anything I expected. I booked an 8 -9 hours trip to visit Summer Palace and Mutianyu The Great Wall of China for myself and my husband. I have to say that from start to finish this was an Amazing experience! Once in a lifetime! A day we will treasure it forever. Our guide was Yang and we also had a car driving us from our hotel to all those places and returned back to our hotel. Yang was brilliant, knowledgeable about the history of China (we learned a lot about it), enthusiastic, patient (we were a bit slow),lovely person to be around. She was with us every step of the way and attended all our needs. ( toilets stops, slowing down, information about everything will interests us) and very reassuring. I will definitely recommend this trip and most importantly the guide. We had the most wonderful time! Was tiring but a must of having someone around who speaks the language. We were provided with plenty of water, delicious lunch ( like the locals) and impressive views! On the way up the Wall we took a cable car which was brilliant! We had a lovely weather, 22 to 26 degrees celcius. Yang took lovely pictures for us and I can't thank her enough for her kindness and patience. We wouldn't been able to have these experience without her. We had the hotel in the centre of Beijing however the distance between those two places and back could be within one hour to 2 and half hour drive each way, depending on the traffic. Thank you very much Yang, you and the lovely driver made our day! You made us feel welcome, reassured and very well looked after!
