This is my second trip in 13 years to Beijing. I’ve seen the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City before. While they are fun must sees, for me I love the day-today life, culture and history. For my first tour in Beijing (which happened to fall one week into the Lunar New Year) I did the: All-inclusive Private Day Trip: Hutongs, Lama Temple & Panda House with Lunch Because it’s the off season, I was the only person in the tour! I am grateful to the company for allowing me to have more time at each spot because of that since there was no group. My tour guide, Maggie, was the absolute sweetest. Just the best! She was friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable. We got to know each other during the day. She was patient with me and all my questions. The zoo was fun (we saw lots of pandas!). We stopped at a local dumpling restaurant — and it was one of the meals I’ve ever had in my life. Then Houhai lake (rickshaw ride) and the Hutongs and our visit with Mrs. Wong. Overall, this was one of the best tours and experiences I’ve ever had. Looking forward to another tour with this company later this week!
